THE PENSION'RS ARE:
A bunch of older dudes who live for great rock and roll. Pensionr's take care of business by writing original tunes, and making LOUD noises. They've got a sound that's all over the place: harder than rock, more complex than punk, and louder than most. Made up of experienced players from some of the most-beloved bands of the Fort Wayne, IN original music scene, The Pension'rs are having a blast doing things their way. Drummer Josh Runkle (or "Turbo" as he's known to his friends) played in the experimental noise rock band Kantis. Lou Cucinelli (guitars) came up in the robot-rock band Pwince and big riffs of I,Wombat. Enter Jay Hackbush (on bass and vocals) of Sugar Frosted Bishops, the Maybe Naughts, and the LEGENDARY punk band Fat Ass - and this three-piece original band was off and running. Analog players living in a digital world, they're not afraid to bust out the big amps and the loud drums at your local neighborhood dive bar. With the goal of keeping the music neat and tidy, the Pension'rs keep the tempos up and the riffs tight. Catch them making a racket at a club near you, or writing and recording new material...if it can be done at a reasonable hour of the evening. Their 3-song EP, recorded with Jason Davis at Off the Cuff Sound and simply titled "3 Rocks," is available to stream on your favorite music platform now, or on the Listen page of this website.
